The IRVA Members Forum (Forum) is a private discussion group for members of the International Remote Viewing Association (IRVA). IRVA is a non-profit group dedicated to remote viewing research and education, and our membership consists of professionals, students of remote viewing, and those who simply wish to learn more about RV.

The Forum was created for the discussion of RV and PSI related topics that are of interest to our members. All information, text, graphics, messages or other materials are the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated. This means that you, and not IRVA, are entirely responsible for the content that you post or upload to the Forum. IRVA does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such content.

IRVA does not pre-screen the Forum content, but IRVA and its designees reserve the right (but not the obligation) in their sole discretion to remove any content that is available via the Forum.

We also reserve the right to moderate anyone who willfully violates the Forum rules. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact the Moderator.

In order to keep the Forum running smoothly and to prevent problems, please follow these simple rules.

General Rules

  • Each member is allowed one login account. We are not an anonymous community and it is the policy of this Forum that members must register and post using their real name, or some easily identifiable portion of your real name. You may not use an alias.
  • Please stay on topic. If you want to discuss a subject that is not related to the one in which you are participating, go to another topic or create a new one.
  • Spirited discussions are acceptable, however once any exchange of opinions becomes redundant or contentious it should be ended. The Forum will not tolerate rudeness, personal attacks or inflammatory posts.
  • Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) nonsense posts. While we are happy to have constructive comparative conversations about other RV forums, we will not tolerate blatant advertising. Also, we would appreciate it if you refrain from bashing other boards.
  • Images in posts are not allowed.
  • Do not upload, post, email or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.
  • Do not upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any content that you do not have a right to make available under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as insider information, proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements.
  • Do not upload, post, email or otherwise make available any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party.
  • Do not upload, post, email or otherwise make available any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to spy, interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
  • Do not "stalk" or otherwise harass another member, or collect or store personal data about other members.

Advertising and Solicitation

  • You may not use the Forum for commercial or advertising purposes. One brief post regarding conferences, classes, newly published books, and links to articles and websites are acceptable, as long as they have a tangential relation to RV, and are of interest to the members.
  • We do not allow "junk mail," "spam," or any other form of solicitation. Do not send private messages or emails to members here that advertise or solicit products, services, funds or donations. Explicit advertising and solicitation in signatures is also prohibited.

Avatars

  • Please be courteous and use good taste in choosing your avatar, and do not use your avatar to make a political or religious statement. Be “reasonably work-safe”; ask yourself if it would be allowed at a place of employment.
  • You may not link to offsite avatars.
  • The maximum image size is 100 x 100 pixels. If your avatar is larger than 100 pixels wide and 100 pixels high it cannot be uploaded.
  • The allowed image file types are gif, jpeg and png.
  • The maximum file size is 24,576 bytes (24 KB).
  • Animated avatars are not allowed.
  • Avatars that may be confused with the moderator’s avatar are not allowed.
  • Use of the IRVA logo in avatars is not allowed.

Signature

  • Images in a signature are not allowed.
  • Maximum size is 400 characters and 4 lines high. (Blank lines count as lines.)
